No time for exercise - I hear you. Time is a real barrier to engaging in regular exercise for nearly eveyone including myself. To get pass this I tell myself seize the moment to do it while it's there in your mind. Even if you can't make time now don't dismiss the fact that you've have been given the desire to exercise but keep it close to your heart and someday you'll find time for it.

"Mathnastics"

“Over the last few days, I have intensified my training. You may ask for what activity are you in training? Well, I am calling it “Mathnastics”. I compare it to the sport of gymnastics. Though I have not had any formal training in this sport at any time in my life, I have watched Olympian Gymnastic Athletes perform incredible feats in their sport. While training in my “Mathnastics” school, I have envisioned myself as a gymnast’s; I balance on the beams of quadratic equations; circle the bar around Trigonometry; flip onto heights with exponents and logarithms; finish in perfect poise having been firmly fixed on functions.

Last Day of Match Play

Today we finished off our match play game in tennis class.
We played well, but the other team came out on top. The score for the last set was 4-6. This added to our over all match score 7-5, 5-7, 4-6. Not a bad way to end the Tournament in my opinion.

The Real Tennis Experience Today

Recapping this week in SBCC Summer '09 Tennis. In the final tournament play offs we played the team we played yesterday.

We knew we were in for a serious match since the opening first 4 games where played at deuce. The deuce pattern was broken and soon we were tied at 5 games all, which meant there would either be a tie break or one team would have to win by 2 games more.

Happy to say my partner and I took the first set winning it at 7-5. We were estactic. Both teams agreed by this point that it have been a very interesting opening set. We braced ourselves for the next one.

Our opponents took the first 2 games, but we caught up to them winning the next 2. Not as many deuce game in this set, yet we tied at 5 all. The set was taken by our opponents at, can you guess? Yes the score was 5-7. We will play our final set tomorrow. It should be another interesting game of tennis.

I am on the final count down for summer classes in piano and tennis. I missed one day of the tennis tournament (actually it was today that I missed), but am looking forward to get back out there tomorrow. Just three days left. My partner and I played well last week, we increased our score. Our best out of two game score was 4-4; 7-1, from a total of eight games each. We are hoping to continue this great comeback!!

Tournaments

I am playing a tennis tournament for the next two weeks. Tennis fans love to either play in a tournament themselves or watch the pros play, or both. Well, since I didn't get the opportunity to watch the Wimbledon Championship Match this year, I am glad I can play in matches this summer with the SBCC college class. It's fun. My partner and I played against two good player as the score 1-7, of eight total games, indicates. We are going on the court again this evening to better prepare. I will need food fuel as well. My meal will certainly include a balance of carbohydrates, good fats, and protein. Here's what on my menu before I head back:

Rice Pasta
Tomato Basil Sauce w/ChickPeas
Rice Tortilla with Flax Oil
Corn and Cilantro
